About David Fontaine

David Fontaine is a well-known financial educator and respected author in South Florida. You may have seen his articles on retirement investing, charitable giving and estate planning in The Golden Years, BoomerTimes & Senior Life, and the South Florida Sun-Times or even the popular TV Program “Let’s Talk Retirement” that aired on the public access channel in Miami-Dade County.
David’s classes and seminars on retirement and financial management have been widely attended by current employees, retirees and pre-retirees of Miami-Dade County, Bellsouth, FPL, Kodak, Beckman-Coulter, Graybar Electric Company and the University of Miami to name a few.
Currently, David is an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade Community College and Coral Gables High School's Adult Education Center. David's classes show people ways to plan for retirement, tax planning, investment strategies as well as issues concerning estate planning.
Mr. Fontaine is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAl PLANNER™. To become a CFP® David completed 6 courses each with their own final exam to demonstrate his competency in areas such as insurance, taxes, investments, estate planning and retirement. He then successfully passed a 2 day comprehensive exam that averages a 57% pass rate nationwide.
